Hello everyone and all the damn online marketing fans! Today I return with something that I already announced in the last newsletter and that makes me happy like I have rarely been: we are going to discuss in depth one of the most important topics in the blogging world . Specifically, something that almost all of us have completely gone through... but that carries much more importance today than many people think: the legality of blogs and web pages . It took me 3 years (from the time this blog was created) to create this damn entry. For me, one of the most important from Blogger3cero because it will shed light on something that all of us, and yes, I emphasize, all (if not 99%) of bloggers do wrong . But first, as is customary, let me tell you a little about this whole story.
One day I was walking so calmly through the park on my dog s last Canadian Biotechnology Email List outing of the day... (hehehe, it's no joke), I still remember it perfectly. I opened the email (a very bad habit I have when I'm on the street) and read an email from one of my subscribers that, why deny it, left me a little “scared” (he will know how to identify himself if he reads this post). He was a reader of the blog who also worked as a lawyer and he told me that indeed my blog, Blogger3cero, despite its visibility had absolutely nothing legal , nor a file in the Spanish Data Protection Agency declared in my name for having subscribers. , nor the privacy policies, nor the legal notices... or anything at all! At all times he treated me with respect, that goes without saying, but his message certainly gave me a lot to think about, at that time I was transferring that person's data to third-party companies (like Mailrelay) without having declared files, newsletter forms with cancellation option, policies written in this regard and a long list of obligations.
If, by any chance in life, that reader or anyone else (imagine your competition) had wanted to report my situation, I could have suffered a pretty big blow (the fines for non-compliance with the LSSI and LOPD are very aggressive). And I'm sure the same thing happens to you, the reader. I'm sure because I have 200 blogger friends and I know that 99% of all of them were in the same situation as me before, something that from this post I want to recommend changing as soon as possible. I think that with this article we bring culture to the world of blogging and I would ask you to put it in favorites, read it, share it and if you have questions, comment on it. If you want to sell i and you don't want to be a “top digital banner” (a phrase I read for the first time in a post by Marina on my friend Miguel s blog) you need to carry out this series of actions. Do you think that putting Cookie Law Info is enough? not at all, if that plus copying with a legal notice from a website out there (as I did back in the day) are your only measures with your blog I can tell you that you are not covered in anything at all, that is the equivalent to do nothing. Did you know that bloggers also have to have complaint forms? Or do you know exactly what legal elements you are obliged (yes, the law requires , it is not something “optional”) to put in your footer? Give me some of your time in this post and in exchange Marina will g essential knowledge. I give way to her to talk to us about legality for blogs.
